Company visit at TORM

For high school girls (ages 16–20)

TORM operates some of the world’s largest tankers, sailing across all oceans carrying oil products, chemicals, and other vital commodities. Every day, around 5 million tons of cargo are transported safely and efficiently through advanced technology, green transition, and global teamwork.

You’ll meet three women who will show you what happens behind the scenes in an industry where you need both technical skills and a spirit of adventure to make a difference: Mette – Head of ESG, Synne – Bunker Purchaser, and Lada – Performance System Manager.

During this workshop, you’ll get hands-on experience with some of the real challenges TORM works with:

  • Bunker challenge: figure out how much fuel a ship needs and how weather, cargo, and distance all play a role.
  • Tech and route planning: use software and test data to plan the smartest route based on the weather forecast.
  • Sustainability in action: see how TORM works with social responsibility and green transition to make shipping more climate-friendly.

No prior knowledge is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to try something completely new.

The session will be held in English, but you are welcome to speak Danish among yourselves.
