Corina-Gabriela Ciobotaru, Matematik professor på Aarhus Universitet

Corina-Gabriela Ciobotaru, Associate Professor in Mathematics at Aarhus University, PhD in Mathematics from University of Louvain la Neuve, Belgium, Master’s in Mathematics from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, France, Bachelor’s in Mathematics from University of Bucharest, Romania.

As a researcher in Mathematics I explore the unknown and try to uncover new mathematical knowledge that may be applied in the near or distant future. Many of my mathematical findings are highly abstract and can seem quite mysterious to those outside the field. Nevertheless, I view mathematics as an art form, filled with beautiful pieces that we endeavor to decode. Additionally, as part of my job, I am teaching and mentoring the next generation of mathematicians. My passion for mathematics began in childhood, and it has since become an integral part of who I am.

In my spare time, I love to travel and engage in various sports. For instance, I’m passionate about skiing😊, and I’ve recently joined a taekwondo club here in Aarhus.
