Kan hjernen høre?
SNEKKERSTEN 15. SEPTEMBER 2026
English:
How does the brain figure out where a sound is coming from? How can you recognize someone's voice within just a few seconds? And what happens when the connection between the ear and the brain doesn't work as it should?
Bring your mum along to the Eriksholm Research Centre and discover how researchers study sound, hearing, and the brain. You'll meet scientists who are working to understand how the brain transforms sound into voices, music, and meaning.
We’ll have inspiring conversations about education and how parents can support their daughters along the way. Research shows that in 75% of cases, mothers are the ones who talk with their daughters about education. This makes them important role models in helping girls explore opportunities, believe in themselves, and feel supported in choosing their educational path.

I am an optical engineer with a PhD in laser physics. I love working with light and discovering how it can be used in amazing ways.
I’ve explored both industry and research, because I enjoy trying new things and challenging myself to grow. My biggest passion is turning ideas into real products that can make a difference in the world.
I truly believe that science and technology should be for everyone, and that no one should feel left out because of stereotypes or expectations.
Let’s break those barriers together, and build a future where curiosity, creativity, and confidence shine just as brightly as any laser.

I’m an engineer with a background in Telecommunications Engineering and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. My journey across disciplines shaped how I approach problem‑solving, combining analytical thinking, creativity, and a strong focus on real-world impact. Today, I work at the intersection of technology, strategy, and people, where I help turn complex ideas into meaningful solutions. As a High5Girls role model, I’m passionate about showing girls that STEM is not about fitting into a box, but about curiosity, courage, and using technology to make a difference.
