I am an Electronic Engineer with a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a Master's in Applied Linguistics, driven by a deep passion for advancing technology with real-world impact. My research goal is to develop innovative digital tools, AI solutions, and neurorobotics technologies that enhance healthcare, industry, and society.
As the Leader of the Neurorobotics Technology Laboratory (NRT-LAB) at DTU Electro, my research bridges AI, robotics, and neuroscience to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in neurodegenerative diseases. Collaborating with neuroscientists and clinicians, I work on non-invasive diagnostic tools, digital twins, and neurotechnology solutions to aid in the early detection and treatment of conditions like Parkinson’s disease.
Beyond healthcare, my work extends to industry-focused robotics, where I collaborate with AI specialists and industry leaders to develop AI-driven perception systems and energy-efficient, neuromorphic processors. My team develops bio-inspired advanced control systems for robotic applications, integrating smart vision and tactile sensors into next-generation collaborative robots.
These innovations aim to revolutionize robotics for smart manufacturing, automation, and human-robot collaboration.As an Associate Professor at DTU, I am dedicated to fostering diverse, socially responsible STEM research. I mentor the next generation of engineers and scientists, advocating for inclusivity and diversity. My dedication to empowering women in technology has been recognized in my selection as a finalist for the Nordic Women in Tech 2024 awards.
Beyond my professional work, I have a strong passion for natural language processing and computational linguistics, exploring how technology can bridge gaps in human communication. I love playing tennis and making bonsai trees. And as a mother of two, I am deeply committed to ensuring that technological advancements serve society with empathy, responsibility, and forward-thinking
